TVB™ is how we design ground up homes and hospitality projects. We start before the architect is appointed, so your interior informs the building instead of being squeezed into it.

Why we built TVB™
Most designers arrive at the end. We start at the dream.
A socket is easy to move on a drawing. After the wall is built, it means chasing, re plastering and repainting. The same is true for lighting, joinery, storage and room sizes. TVB™ settles these decisions on paper, where they cost almost nothing.
Pen or hammer
Pick a change and see what it takes.
A line moves on the drawing. Nothing is built, so nothing is broken.
The wall is broken out and rebuilt. Masons, the electrician, the plasterer and the painter all come back.
A symbol moves on the electrical plan.
The wall is chased, the cable rerouted, then the wall is re plastered and repainted. Electrician, plasterer and painter come back.
A line is added before the slab and walls are cast.
Finished walls or ceilings are opened to run it, then made good. Electrician, mason, plasterer and painter come back.

Architect selection
We introduce an architect from our qualified panel, appointed alongside us from the start.

Consultant team
Your structural engineer comes through the architect. Your MEP engineer is agreed between the architect and us based on the project, so electrical, plumbing and mechanical services are designed around the interior from day one.

Space planning
Room sizes, flow and storage planned before walls are fixed.

Electrical and lighting
Sockets, switches, lighting, conduits and other services such as security and smart home systems, resolved before wiring.

Materials
Finishes chosen early, so the structure is built for them.

Our quantity surveyor keeps the budget connected to every decision.

Contractors, suppliers and furnishing managed through to handover.

TVB™ questions
When should an interior designer join a new build?
Before the architect is appointed. That is when interior decisions can still shape the building.
Is TVB™ only for Nairobi?
No. Many of our clients are building upcountry and at the coast. Travel is quoted separately.
I already have an architect. Is TVB™ right for me?
TVB™ works with an architect from our qualified panel, so design and architecture move as one team from day one. If you have already appointed an architect, our Full-Service is the right fit, and we work alongside them.
What size of project does TVB™ suit?
Builds from KES 10 million in total build value, including interior fit out. This is the value of the build, not our design fee.
Do I need to find the engineers myself?
No. Your architect brings the structural engineer, and we agree the MEP engineer with the architect. You get a coordinated team from the start instead of assembling one yourself.
Can you find and manage the contractors for me?
Yes. We tender the work to contractors from our vetted panel, recommend the right fit and manage them to handover. Contractors are paid at agreed milestones, once our quantity surveyor has valued the work and our design lead has checked its quality. A portion is held back until final snags are cleared. You deal with one studio.
How is TVB™ different from Full-Service?
TVB™ starts at land, before an architect is appointed. Full-Service starts once an architect is on board or the shell is standing.
